Hartford Homes are pleased to announce that their Site Manager, Keith Featherstone, has won 2 prestigious awards from the National House Building Councils (NHBC)for his work on their new development of 45 Homes, Knock Rushen, Castletown.

The 'Pride in the Job' awards are awarded to the top 30 site managers and the 'Seal of Excellence' is reserved for the top ten site managers in the region. These awards were presented on Friday night in Belfast at the NHBC's 30th pride in the job award Ceremony.

NHBC's Regional Director for Northern Ireland, David Little, said: 'Pride in the Job tests a site manager's commitment to quality. Only those who demonstrate exceptional standards in every aspect of their work on site and in the homes they build will succeed.

The winners in Northern Ireland have proved their commitment to excellence having been selected from almost 13,000 site managers across the UK. As well as carrying out spot checks of the day-to-day running of the site, each site manager is assessed across 38 areas of site management including their technical knowledge, consistency in the build process, leadership and organisational skills.

Quality construction is the product of hard work, planning, leadership and technical expertise and I am delighted that as we celebrate 30 years of Pride in the Job, site managers in this region remain committed to making sure their customers buy homes of the highest quality."

Keith Featherstone, who has previously worked internationally and came to the Island in 1988 to manage the construction of The Strand Shopping Centre, said ' I am delighted to have received these the awards from the industry's only competition that rewards and recognises the work of site managers. It is also recognition for the design and construction team that work with me on the development.'

The Knock Rushen Development in Castletown comprises of 3, 4 & 5 bedroom family homes as well as 4 barn conversions all achieving high levels of energy efficiency and family comfort. The combination of location, design, construction and comfort has resulted in the development selling exceptionally well off plan. The first residents will be moving into their new homes in the very near future.
